▣ Job Title
Engineer Mobile Linux Application, Middleware and driver development
▣ Responsibilities include:
-Integration and validation of Mobile Linux Applications for embedded systems.
-Implementation and test of test code for Mobile Linux a drivers for a variety of peripheral devices commonly used in embedded hardware systems.
-Develop, test and debug of embedded Mobile Linux applications
-Develop test code and support bring up and validation of custom embedded hardware systems.
-The Associate Engineer candidate must have a Bachelor Degree in Computer science, strong C skills or Python, be self-driven, and eager to work with embedded Linux on custom hardware platforms.
-The candidate should be somewhat familiar with basic Linux kernel concepts and have prior experience working with Linux or embedded system on school projects and a strong desire to learn more about Linux such as Qt, GTK or embedded related open source coding techniques.
-The job requires solid people skills for interaction with services project teams.
-The qualified candidate will be highly motivated, self-driven with a track record of quickly learning new technologies and software skill sets.
▣ Requirements:
-Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering or related subject area
-Minimum 1 year of Linux related development experience preferred
-Minimum 1 year of embedded software development experience preferred
-Experiencing Moblin, Android or LiMo platform
-Strong C, C++ or Python knowledge
-Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
-Track record of completing software development tasks on time
-Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn
-Comfortable with Linux, UNIX development environments
-Test or development experience on one or more common embedded processor types a plus (PowerPC, MIPS, X86, ARM, etc.)
